 Marcelo M. Wanderley is Professor of Music Technology at McGill University, Canada, [[https://www.inria.fr/en/institute/recruitment/inria-international-chairs/international-chairs|International Chair]] at the  [[http://mjolnir.lille.inria.fr|Mjolnir Team, Inria Lille, France]] (2016-2020) and [[https://numediart.org/project/cute-2017-franqui-chair-lessons-marcello-m-wanderley-mcgill-university/|Francqui Chair at the University of Mons, Belgium]] (2016-2017). His research interests include the design and evaluation of digital musical instruments and the analysis of performer movements. He co-edited the electronic book “[[http://www.idmil.org/projects/trends|Trends in Gestural Control of Music]]” in 2000, co-authored the textbook “[[http://www.areditions.com/miranda-new-digital-musical-instruments-das021.html|New Digital Musical Instruments: Control and Interaction Beyond the Keyboard]]” in 2006, and chaired the [[http://www.nime.org/2003/|2003 International Conference on New Interfaces for Musical Expression (NIME03)]]. He is a senior member of the the [[http://www.acm.org|Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)]] and of the [[http://www.ieee.org|Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE)]], and a member of [[http://www.mitpressjournals.org/journals/comj/editorial|Computer Music Journal’s Editorial Advisory Board]]. Marcelo M.
