Project Description
Trends in Gestural Control of Music is the first English language book on gestures applied to the control of music. It is an edited electronic publication on the state of the art on gestural control of sound synthesis and digital musical instruments.
It consists of a round table on Electronic Controllers in Music Performance and Composition, 24 articles (tutorials and case studies) on the various aspects of this emerging field, as well as a complete bibliography (up to year 2000) and a resources section.
It has been commercialised for several years by IRCAM in Paris, with three prints and reportedly more than 1,000 copies made.
